Remember that essential oils are always used drop by drop as they are very concentrated and should never be applied directly to the skin without being diluted. A little household tip: if you want your toilet to smell nice, you can drop a few drops of your favorite oil into the cardboard of your toilet roll.

How scents affect us

• Jasmine - calming, relaxing, antidepressant, sensual and romantic (warm, rich, sensual, and floral)
  The oil has a rejuvenating effect on dry, wrinkled, or aging skin.
• Lavender - calming, strengthening
  The oil can relieve cough, cold, flu, hay fever, and asthma. Good for sleep disorders, tension, headaches, migraines, and has a calming effect. Relieves sunburn, burns, eczema, and insect bites.
• Lemongrass/Cymbopogon or citronella - refreshing, uplifting
  The oil is very good for headaches, fatigue, and depressive feelings. Suitable as an oil against athlete's foot. Effective as an insect-repelling aroma, either in an aroma lamp or in spray form.
• Rose - pain-relieving, strengthens memory, sensual but not erotic, skin regenerating
  The oil strengthens blood circulation, has anti-inflammatory properties, and helps heal wounds and scars.
• Peppermint - refreshing, calming, strengthens concentration and learning ability
  The oil is good for headaches and toothaches as well as certain forms of migraines. Strengthens the digestive system. Good as an expectorant for colds and flu. Fever-reducing.
• Tea Tree - cleanses body and soul, uplifting
  The oil strengthens blood circulation, relieves pain, heals wounds, inhibits fungal toxins, tightens the skin, and stimulates the immune system.
• Orange - refreshing, uplifting
  The oil has an extremely cleansing effect on the skin, energizing and refreshing effect, good for stimulating blood circulation, good against impurities, and good as an expectorant for colds and flu.
