Here you get a quality gravity blanket with glass beads, cotton, and polyester fibers. The blanket provides an even, soft pressure on the entire body, which is known to have a calming and relaxing effect.

Our 7-layer weighted blanket / gravity blanket contains small glass beads with a diameter of about 1 mm. You don't feel the small glass beads at all as they are wrapped in polyester fibers, thus avoiding noise disturbances from the beads. The size and distribution of the small micro glass beads ensure that the gravity blanket falls closely and heavily around the body.

What is it?

A gravity blanket is a blanket with a heavier filling. The extra weight gives your body a pleasant and relaxing embrace, similar to what a blanket provides when you lie down to rest.

The embracing effect of the gravity blanket creates pressure on the skin, which stimulates deep skin receptors and signals to our hormonal system to produce and release feel-good hormones such as melatonin, serotonin, and oxytocin, while reducing cortisol, which is the body's primary stress hormone.

If you are considering acquiring a weighted blanket / gravity blanket, we recommend looking for a blanket that can wrap around the body in the best possible way. Therefore, it can often be an advantage if the blanket consists of small movable beads/balls that allow the blanket to wrap around the body and follow it with every movement.

We recommend that you choose a gravity blanket that corresponds to about 10% of your body weight, meaning this 7 kg blanket is recommended for a body weight of about 70 kg.

The blanket is not suitable for small children, individuals with low body weight, or pregnant women.

Maintenance

The gravity blanket cannot withstand machine washing or a tumble dryer, so it is always recommended to use a duvet cover. It should be aired and brushed (do not beat or vacuum).
